About Open IJburg Activiteiten
Open IJburg Activities is an informal neighborhood initiative to do inclusive activities together on IJburg. For example games night, neighborhood drinks, going to the beach or park, and light sports activities, etc. We are also looking for volunteers that want to help us organize events.
Volunteers wanted – Open IJburg Activities Committee
This district is called IJburg. Quite a nice new district, but also a bit quiet in a way. There are a lot of people living here, but there is still little to do, especially for adults.
Time for change of experience. Time for a stronger sense of community!

You can think of things like:
- a neighborhood drink
- a sports activity
- a games night
- a holiday activity
What we are looking for are:
- people who want to become a standard member of the Open IJburg Activities Committee
- volunteers who just want to actively help out on that day
- someone who wants to help organize a specific activity

Jelle van Liempt
Jelle van Liempt (1990) is trained as a historian, political scientist and teacher of social studies. He wrote the book Bestemming bijna bereikt (Destination almost reached): a personal story about his experiences with Acquired brain injury (ABI) after a serious accident in 2017 that turned his life upside down.
